This summer, I had the opportunity to intern at Intuit, for the Consumer Design Group. I supported the TurboTax Live Assisted Tax Team with updating product experiences and end-to-end interaction flows to reflect Intuit’s direction in further instilling confidence and comfortability in the users. Through working on design assets for both the consumer side and the tax professional side broadened my insight and perspective on the overall product experience and business.
Role
UX/UI Visual Design Intern

Santa Clara, CA

UX/UI, visual design, illustration
Date
June 2020 - Sept 2020 (Internship), Oct 2020 - Present (Contractor)
Summary
One of the larger projects I supported was updating the Pocket Pro experience to ensure that it is intuitive and seamless for customers to get a tax consult from a Pro and maintain the confidence to do their taxes with TurboTax Live again in the coming year. Based on feedback and learnings from a few weeks of the pilot being live to customers, I redesigned the My Expert home page to focus on one active channel customers can use to easily connect with a tax expert, as well as setting better expectations on the benefits of the service and to filter out customers who needed assistance in other areas of the product. Additionally, I worked on designing the Scheduling and Messaging centers in the native mobile experience to address the provided use cases and pain points, as these features had only been available on stationary web.
